Background
We believe that in the future, the world will be connected through IT systems more than we are today and become our daily routine. To protect from threats of the cyber world, we need to have strong knowledge and innovation for our country. Our information security system should be a controllable technology, result in the creation of “SRAN”.
SRAN is short for Security Revolution Analysis Network, the innovative technology to monitor network traffic events, tools to help network administrators to investigate and assess networks. It is a technology used to create “Security Operation Center” to offer MSSP (Management Security Services Provider) services in a cost effective way.
SRAN’s philosophy is to create information security technologies for Thais, for the world market, including
- create information prevention system in form of ready-to-use and easy-to-use softwares or hardwares to reduce cost of imported technologies.
- create intrusion detection and network analysis technologies and gathering related information for officers, police or network administrators for alerting purposes.
- promote knowledge sharing to individual interested in information and open source technologies to adopt it to their own use. In the past, our team has released presentation files, web blogs, magazine articles and seminar speeches to the public.
SRAN pronounced as “SA-RAN” (derived from SA-RAN-ROM). Siamese cat is the mascot for SRAN. They usually have nine coloured points in their body.
Commercially, we have developed SRAN into ready-to-use hardware appliances with hardening OS and softwares including
1. Security Gateway or UTM (Unified Threat Management).It’s called SRANwall, new generation firewall that has many features including network prevention system, antivirus, email spam prevention, network routing, network access control and remote access security control.
2. In other countries, they call a system similar to SRAN Security Center as USM (Unified Security Monitoring). Our products give you more than just USM since SRAN Security Center can archive event logs as a “Chain of Custody” of network forensics. So we call it a Network Recorder.
SRAN Security Center’s features are including network analysis, IDS/IPS, VA/VM in one box. Moreover, it also has regulatory compliances such as ISO 17799 and Thailand’s Computer Crime Act. We designed SRAN Security Center for convenient installation, just put in a LAN cord to it, turn it on and the system is ready to use.
The product name is SRAN Security Center.

2.1 Normal Traffic > SRAN security Center will store a required field from Thai Cyber Crime’s Law which can identified who/what/when (Web/Mail/FTP Usage History) for over years.
2.2 Anomaly Traffic > SRAN Security Center will generate a daily report (Top Ten Event/Top Ten Source IP/Top Ten Destination IP) and match them with Thai Cyber Crime’s laws if it finds malicious traffic.
